Hi! My name is Kathy Novelli and I am your Reading Counts Chairperson. This is my third year with Reading Counts (I have a son, Tony, in the third grade) and I am looking forward to another great year! Reading Counts starts October 1 and my team and I are looking forward to seeing all the children come through our door. Check below to learn about the Reading Counts program and to search our database for books in our Reading Counts Quiz Inventory. Remember, your child will be coming to the Reading Counts Room on a regular basis every week to check out books. However, your child is not limited to the books in the Reading Counts Library. Your child can pick a book from home or the public library or from any other source as long as you see the title by the same author on-line in our quiz inventory list. Of course, we always welcome donations in the form of books or money.

Lastly, I want to mention the lost book policy. We have had a problem in the past with students losing or misplacing Reading Counts Books. To that end, I ask the parents to help ensure our Reading Counts Books make it back to the Reading Counts Room. The lost book fee is $10. As always, you have the option of simply replacing the lost book with one of the same. Our goal hopefully, is to not have to replace any books but simply use our money to buy new and exciting books for the children to read.
