Some Internet Service Providers do not allow you to use external SMTP E-mail servers to send outbound mail. In order to send outbound SMTP E-mail, you will need to configure your E-mail client to use your ISP's SMTP server and not mail.atlantisnet.com.
Below are some common SMTP servers used by major ISPs:
EarthLink (details):
mail.earthlink.net
smtp.earthlink.net
smtpauth.earthlink.net *
MSN (details):
smtp.email.msn.com *
Cox (details):
smtp.west.cox.net
SBC (details):
smtp.sbcglobal.net
SBC Yahoo (details):
smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com *
Bell South (details):
mail.bellsouth.net
DSLExtreme (details):
smtp.dslextreme.com
* These servers require authenticated SMTP using the user name and password assigned to you by your ISP.
Notice: We have recently implemented a workaround for the sending of E-mail through our servers using ISPs that block TCP port 25. You can attempt this workaround by following the instructions here.
